Rig Explosion Gulf of Mexico: Around four months after the devastating destruction of the BP platform, "Deepwater Horizon has again occurred an explosion on an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico. 13 people went overboard, but could be saved. At least one worker was injured, said the U.S. Coast Guard.
Nine helicopters and four ships of the Coast Guard were sent to the approximately 130 km south of Vermilion Bay in the U.S. state of Louisiana lying platform alliance, said Coast Guard spokesman John Edwards to the station MSNBC.
