Toyota Center Houston: With the Rockets’ season winding down and no playoff match-ups to ponder, the Rockets’ off-season will begin soon. The team plays its last game this Wednesday at Toyota Center against the New Orleans Hornets.
So the off-season planning can get underway. The Rockets have three players that will become restricted free agents come July 1, when the free agent season begins in earnest in the NBA Toyota Center: Luis Scola, Kyle Lowry and Hilton Armstrong.
Scola and Lowry are the primary concern. Thursday Toyota Center, Rockets General manager Daryl Morey indicated that, since the Rockets will have the right to match any offer the players get, the team will do that. “Mr. Alexander has given me every resource to get Luis and Kyle back next year, so they’ll be back next year,” Morey said.
